This motion was largely based on the belief that the City would be saving $340,000/year but after conducting a competitive bid process, results demonstrated that the actual anticipated annual operational cost savings will only be $20,440/year.

Delegates at our convention unanimously approved to name our Fall Legislative Conference after Curtis Oscar Noble, who suddenly and tragically passed in December 2022. Curtis was an incredible leader and advocate for IAFF members. He will not be forgotten.

The fire-medics performed a successful water rescue and restored a pulse. This was followed by amazing care from AB healthcare professionals, which led to a full recovery.
While firefighters are exposed to over 265 known carcinogens in a structure fire, many don’t know that firefighters are also exposed to harmful chemicals within the fabric of their gear.
We’re grateful to see a documentary bring light to this issue.
