In art this afternoon, Class 2 looked at aboriginal symbols and how we could use the symbols to tell a story. The children worked very hard and could tell their story from using the symbols.
Wearable Technology Class 3 have had a busy afternoon in DT. The children have designed and created an E-Pouch for a Micro-Bit to fit inside. They will be able to take their pouches home next week. Another great unit from @kapowprimary
Class 4 took part in a creative writing workshop with author Yvonne Battle-Felton. They worked really hard, producing poems, character descriptions and a story smash-up. The quality of their work was wonderful. Thank you @YBattleFelton@HighlightsRural

We are so proud of the football team today who played 5 games in the blazing heat. They won 3, lost 2 and came 3rd overall. All the hard work at training on Thursday lunchtimes has paid off. Great team work and sportsmanship from all! πβ½οΈ
Class 4 did some local field study work on the fell today. They spent some time sketching and discussing the geography and history of our local area. They talked about mining, railways and so much more and demonstrated real knowledge and understanding and excellent behaviour.
The reading shelter is open and the new swing is up. Playtimes just keep getting better and better. Thanks to AB playgrounds we love them. https://t.co/3fXEr9RVM6
This week learning in EYFS has focused on King Charles III and the Coronation! They made crowns and twirly sticks, explored London using Google Earth and read some fantastic stories about the king. They also painted some wonderful portraits of the new king.
