Today, two different Substacks written by really terrific thinkers have finally driven us insane. YOU DO NOT "SEW" DOUBTS OR OATS OR ANGER...YOU "SOW," GODDAMMIT.
As a writer, I would add the same for authors, recording artists, filmmakers, and creatives. It takes years to accomplish things that the public consumes in minutes. Let’s give people time to rest and enjoy the victory before we demand they go back to work and entertain us.

"At the beginning of the pandemic, I heard a lot, “We're all in the same boat.” and then it's like, no, we're just all in the same ocean. A lot of people have better boats."

"It was interesting when you remove your own politics—I wouldn't know left from right in Mexico—when you're not economically tied to the decisions, you can just like the person and you can just like what they're doing. It was a little freeing."

"It was like, we could not, at least on paper, be more like ideologically different...but it was like two peas in this weird pod!" https://t.co/uwUfTne5tC
"My stepmom said, 'Were you guys preaching into an echo chamber?' And I was like, 'Not at all. I straight-up made friends with someone that has a subscription to Garden and Gun.'"

“I think everybody...probably has political beliefs but doesn't bring them into Civics Unplugged because it's not about politics.” Which is why we called this episode "How to Be a Good Human." #changetheworld#civics#commongood

“One of the biggest things I've learned is the essential role that authentic dialogue plays in a healthy civic ecosystem.” That's not from a cynical pundit. That's from a Gen Z'r, who's doing the work. Check out more about @CivicsUnplugged in our latest: https://t.co/VvYsXCou3O
