Some suggested theories: A risk factor for fibroids is stress and black women are more likely to have increased lifetime stressors. There may be a genetic component. Another risk factor that put these women at risk is low vit D.

Sick sinus syndrome: dysfunction of the SA node causing sinus bradycardia, sinus pauses, or sinus arrest. If your patient is HD stable, consider addressing some of the reversible causes: meds, MI, systemic/electrolytes, or autonomic imbalance. #FOAMed #FOAM4cook @CookCountyEM
