@RinoTheBouncer I think main characters should have some sort of inherent appeal. It could be that they are attractive (Eve) but it could also be that they are cool (Kratos) or cute (Kirby) or relatable (Arthur Morgan) other things. Way too many characters today are none of these.
Imagine if our entertainment industry actually cultivated great American talent instead of quarantining them to niche art shows and indie hell, like they're some disease that could break containment.
God I love Julie Bell.
The reason why people call out Debra Wilson over the examples you gave is because for some fucking reason a lot of characters she plays HAVE to look EXACTLY like her.
If it was once, okay. But almost always? That’s weird man come on it just is
Hi gamers.
Do you remember enjoying playing as Kratos as he ripped his enemies to shreds and banged the hot goddess?
Well guess what, GAMERS! Now you get to play as Kratos' middle-aged wife as she waddles around with a rainbow cube! Aren't you happy gamers?! Doesn't that make you excited gamers?!
@LegatoSkyheart@JuiceMan_V I'd argue a Playstation game is a game exclusive to Playstation, not a game made by Sony.
I could name four games with more variety of gameplay than that cherry-picked selection in the Mario franchise alone.
@ShadowbanSlam@AyakaMods Xenoblade Chronicles 3 was toned down for the sake of narrative tone. Not to please the woke prudes.
Xenoblade 2's women are sexy like Robin from One Price or Yao-Momo from My Hero Academia.
Xenoblade 3's women are sexy like Selene from Underworld or Miranda from Mass Effect
