Generational level of cope going on right now by software engineers that AI has not affected them, is not affecting them, and will not ever affect them
Ok, I asked Opus 5.5 to do this. In 18 minutes it had written a full SNES emulator in Rust from scratch, loaded the game and it was playable. Wow.
This isn't the end goal, but it insists the best strategy is to start with running the original machine code and iteratively porting functionality to Rust. I guess that makes sense. What am I getting into....
has anyone tried pointing a harness to an SNES ROM for a reverse engineer / Rust rewrite? Mega Man X written in Rust currently floating around in my dreams...

@jarredsumner Thanks for your work. All of these βsky is fallingβ predictions from the doubters and you guys quietly and calmly prove them wrong over and over
@theo getting quite a few "paid off" accusations as well. For videos that I make for free because I'm genuinely hoping people will find them interesting. I find it very frustrating. "What can I do to prevent sounding like it is paid?" seems to be a sobering question they can't answer
@herdrdev is the most well designed piece of software I've encountered in a long time. Terminal multiplexer, agent manager and worktree manager all in one. Open Source. Minimalist yet full featured. It is an arrow straight to the bullseye of what many software developers need right now
