I am a product on the web that is watching the things you say.
Toxic people that have obnoxious opinions or use insults are blocked. Keep it meaningful.
I agree.
Thinkers like Augustine and Aquinas explicitly subordinated philosophy to revelation. Greek ideas helped *explain* or *systematize* biblical truths like using Aristotle's categories for Trinitarian doctrine or natural law, but they didn't define the content.
Christianity transformed Greek ethics. For example, elevating humility and charity, which Greeks often saw as weakness.
@darwintojesus Or - you could reply in the thread I QTd above and tell him to unblock me to continue the conversation or you will never respond to him - either way would be good.
If not, no worries - just be aware he is simply trolling.
@darwintojesus
There is one particular account that constantly attacks you and mocks you. I engaged with the account and rather than have an honest conversation, he blocked me, and continues to spam your posts.
A good bit of justice would be to block him from your posts. If he will never be honest, don't let him participate.

No evidence for de novo information generation.
No rebuttal to the Cambrian's abruptness or the insufficiency critiques.
Just burden-shifting, repetition, and a God-of-the-gaps strawman. Your argument collapses under its own circularity and deflections.
@NotEvolution1@Provokethoughtz The problem with this meme is it already assumes what it is trying to prove - that an embryo (scientific term) is not a baby (colloquial term.) Otherwise, they would have to admit some babies can be frozen during their embryonic stage.
@YkarioTwitch@ZELLKLUMPEN Wrong. Only Adam's life began at first breath, because he was made whole from dust.
Everyone else begins life at fertilization.
God is clear on what happens to those who harm children. Why would destroying an innocent human made in His image not be murder?
He is not arguing in good faith.
A 20-nt replicator is trivial compared to real biology. It doesn't code for proteins, enzymes, membranes, or anything resembling a digestive or immune system. It's bare-bones chemical copying in a test tube... not "complex specified information" that builds organs or survival systems. Calling it "complex" here is equivocating on the word, being purposefully dishonest.
It's the same pattern he used with me before... assert the conclusion, use a real-but-limited example, then insult or block anyone who notes the huge remaining gaps.

@faithapologia@DaytimePubSmell@darwintojesus Don't bother - he just blocks you when his argument collapses and continues believing and spreading the same nonsense.

@DaytimePubSmell@darwintojesus@DaytimePubSmell I block back.
You blocked me because I asked you to defend your position, and you can't. That is obvious smugness and bigotry, so I am sure you will continue to post what you know is nonsense, because that's the way you are. Good luck in life.

Asserting that โany genome can become any other with enough mutationsโ is circular.
Itโs the very sufficiency claim youโre supposed to prove, not evidence.
It still doesnโt explain how unguided processes originate the new specified information for novel Cambrian body plans and cell types that Hox genes only regulate. Claiming โwe donโt know the genomesโ or โfew precambrian fossilsโ ignores the abrupt fossil pattern we do have, and injecting a โGod in the gapโ strawman misrepresents my entire point.
The unguided mechanism remains insufficient.
@DaytimePubSmell@darwintojesus Mutations track the pattern. We agree.
Hox genes only regulate existing programs; they donโt originate new specified information for novel body plans or cell types.
Thatโs the exact gap your Cambrian explanation skips.
The unguided mechanism remains insufficient.
Nice insult, are you playing pigeon chess? Shit on the board and strut like you won?
I accept an old Earth and common descent at some level, but I question whether unguided mutations + natural selection fully explain the origin of complex specified information, novel body plans, or the Cambrian explosion.
The meme was highlighting that "fact and theory" language can blur lines. Can you steelman why macroevolution is considered as settled as gravity, while addressing critiques like those from Meyer/Behe/Sternberg on irreducible complexity or waiting times?
@SineCaesaribus@MrTellYouFacts@ZELLKLUMPEN@KatakisLives Wrong. God said Adam's life began at first breath, because Adam was made whole, not born. Everyone else begins life at fertilization.
Do you know what God says will happen to those who harm children?
