@TomAandTom1 bro what makes it worse is that focus features has owned the movie since Toronto. Which means curry got his money and anything after Toronto he has no control over. Which means she brought a bridge for money, He has no access to.

But I've been a professional athlete and I've been a professional screenwriter for many years. I'm never going to do below what I'm worth market wise.

@battymamzelle @CindyBegel Stick to your guns. I played professional basketball for 14 years. I wouldn't take a dime below what I agreed with my agent I was worth. And that lasted 14 years not all money is good money and knowing when to say no and wait for a better offer is key to being an adult.

Even so if a company is doing well, they are generous about giving upon this, but not obligated to do so. And companies would not ask you to give back their salary with a down quarter they just fire lol

Blumhouse/Focus bought distribution for $14m. Have no idea who is owed what but if someone (including Curry Barker) makes the discretionary call to do a bonus…thats awesome but also not the pre-filming expectation for anyone that signed onto Obsession.

▫️agrees to ~$7k for 22 days of work on indie horror with $750k budget
▫️film blows up and tracking to $250m
▫️she now has an unbelievable credit on CV to build a brand and get better paying gigs
▫️decides to write long IG post putting Obsession production on blast because she isn’t getting any upside (which was never expected or negotiated or agreed to when she signed to work on a low-budget indie horror, which the vast majority of lose money)
