The game asks, and I obey. @CodeofTheSavage

6hrs to finish the demo. One spent farming at the very beginning, unleashing the hunter-gatherer in me to hunt, fish and cook. Managed to afford the initial equipment with it. They threw me at the bottom with prejudice, but I'm a savage and I was going crawl back on top.

Then I went exploring, and questing. The game really reminds me of Ultima VII, as I'm sure everyone says.

I really enjoyed it, the game has a soul of its own once you get into it. I'm going to maybe suggest a few more tutorials in the beginning, to ease people in.

Other minor things I'll send as feeback, but I have to say it's one of the indie game to keep an eye on, for sure, for anyone who likes old school CRPGs.

Pretty jank at the current state, lots of jank,
but I kinda enjoying the jankiness

Early game is very grindy to get your character properly equipped, at least defensively

Went out and bought myself a second hand steam deck complete with a pink kitty cat cover (bonus!) - for testing CoTS on the deck. Awesome! I never thought I would be playing code of the savage on a handheld device. 🌸

We have proper radial art now for the controller scheme. Left and right analog controls the directional choice of either the shortcuts, or the quickslot activation. Both side bar and quickbar can easily be collapsed and expanded.

This will be available in v1014 of the demo - updating in about an hour. Would love to get controller users feedback - You will need to go into options and select "experimental controller"
