Redesigned my portfolio to showcase my work as a producer and shooter. If you need *anything* visual done, I’m probably your guy. Let’s chat before the rush hits: https://t.co/pK2I1Bm7xy
Film making is very tough and comes with a lot of risks, so it’s not a surprise that profit sharing isn’t the norm.
Nevertheless, I’d love to see the film industry adopt some profit sharing practices. The environment this could create would make film making much more enjoyable.
There’s starting to be a lot of chatter around Obession’s box office success and how the crew wasn’t paid well for the production. I’m gonna try to bring as much light to that situation in as few words as possible…
The production team on Obsession is not holding out on their crew, nor did they get a bad deal. This was an unlikely scenario where a low budget film rose to the top.
It’d be generous for the production company to share the $14.25m they made on the deal with the crew.
I thought I was tripping the first time I seen the film. Saw it again yesterday and it’s 100% there. Can’t figure out any way the time jump would make sense.
Making a narrative is hard. Things like this slip more often than you think. Especially on low budget films.
