I'm not the "new" generation but I can assure you, it ain't hate..we just feel like much more talent was around when he was around, and it can be proven is all
Jay-Z had to send himself because who else is left to stand against Drake? Now the pressure is on him to deliver. Drake has no competition. The greatest to ever do it. Let’s talk about it.
I genuinely can’t recall Jay-Z having the kind of sustained run people credit him with. When was his peak, and how long did it last? The impact y’all describe isn’t something I’ve personally seen or heard. Does he make great music? Yes. Is he a successful businessman? Absolutely.
My vote goes to the Democrats, but that doesn’t give them a pass. Republicans have shown how quickly power can translate into action. I expect Democrats to move with that same urgency. We cannot keep campaigning on change and then governing like there’s no rush.
Jay Z has no songs that are halftime show worthy. Just like he hasn’t made any songs that are (Solo) Billboard number 1 worthy. Horrible decision by the NFL
Jay-Z has blocked so many WORTHY artists from performing on the Super Bowl stage.
Chris Brown, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift, 50 Cent, Kanye, Ciara, Wayne, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Janet Jackson… the list goes ON.
But allegedly, jealousy and personal vendettas kept certain artists from getting those opportunities they deserve— just for him to turn around and give himself the stage that NOBODY asked for.
Agreed! Especially the ones who brag about saying anything to anybody when they’re mad. You’re glorifying the very behavior that makes you the problem, then wondering why people distance themselves.
When I see someone glorify their toxicity, I just know they have arrested emotional development. After a certain age, there are behaviours you just get a little embarrassed to even admit you indulge in and you become aware that there are things you need to unlearn.
The number of women I’ve seen get their bodies done and then announce a pregnancy is interesting. I can’t quite explain the pattern, but I keep noticing it.
Lil Wayne took “Run This Town” and “Upgrade U” and rapped like those beats belonged to him. Nobody compares to Wayne, Drake, and Nicki. Each is legendary in their own right, but together? That lineup is untouchable.
You can hear Lil Wayne’s intelligence in his writing. The layered meanings, unexpected metaphors, and way he bends language are incredible. He’ll make a bar sound effortless until you stop and think about what he actually said.
Some older women can tell you everything about men and what you should or shouldn’t tolerate, but the conversation falls flat beyond that. They’ve spent so much of their lives centering men that they never explored who they are or what life could offer outside of relationships.
Some of y’all see your friends struggling and still measure what you give against what you’re getting. Sometimes love means carrying more while someone finds their footing. Everything isn’t about you.
I don’t know why everyone is so mad at this, it makes total sense. For the first year after my best friend had her baby I was the one doing most of the reaching out bc she was dealing with new motherhood. It would be crazy to expect otherwise.
