I genuinely believe nature heals. Talking to trees, sitting in the sun, it all helps regulate my nervous system more than people realize. Relying more on nature has helped me cope in healthier ways, walking, working out, coffee, or just grounding myself outside.
It’s woo-woo stuff, I know. But I’ve done it for almost every house I wanted, and I got it. If she actually tries it, watch her end up getting the house.
My coworker was talking about a house she wanted, but there were two other people interested who made more than her. I told her, go to the house, If there are trees in front or near it, talk to the trees and let them know you’re the new neighbor. And watch how she gets the house.
People show off their houses, cars, and vacations all the time.
Bookworms should be able to show off their bookshelves, reading nooks, annotations, highlighters, and ever-growing TBRs too.
Don’t be shy. Show off your love for reading.
@allanm1966 Whataboutism is usually a sign of poor comprehension. You’re not responding to the point, you’re redirecting the entire conversation. Be honest with yourself about your comprehension abilities, Allen. 💀💀
Yes, slavery existed across many societies throughout history, including parts of Europe and the British Empire. That’s not the point I was making. My focus was on Black American history and its specific timeline and experience within the United States.
@allanm1966 I thought comprehension was directly tied to a person’s ability to understand. But the more I read these comments, the more it’s clear that’s where a lot of the issue resides. That’s something that has to be addressed before jumping into debates.
That’s exactly how my husband won me over, intentional from the start. He was available, consistent, and sure about me. He made time, he planned, and he showed his interest through action, not words. I never had to guess where I stood. He made it clear I was exactly who he wanted
One mentality I’m glad I outgrew is not wanting to come off as “too interested” with the women I like.
Because it only ever led to anxiety, over-analyzing, and calibration.
I’m sorry, but I like you and I want to create opportunities for romance. It’s not a crime.
The same people who try to correct me on the timeline of Black history are the same ones who believe Adam and Eve were the first humans on earth. Huh… comical. 💀
I love when Christopher Columbus enters the chat. He somehow always shows up in conversations about Black history, actually, American history.. but you get what I mean, lol. The second he’s brought up, I mention Leif Erikson. I give credit when it's due.
Stop searching for an authority outside of yourself. You already have permission to do as you please. The chips will fall where they may, but it's your commitment to your needs & desires that determine your power. Live your life according to YOU.
@Reasonmaxxing I understand that comprehension might not be your strongest skill. Let's focus on improving that first before attempting to debate. You need to crawl before you walk.
Instead of engaging with the point I made, you changed the subject. That’s called deflecting. If you can’t respond to what’s actually being said, you’re not contributing to the conversation. You’re avoiding it. Let’s master reading comprehension before trying to argue.
Nothing annoys me more than people who default to whataboutism. If someone presents a point, engage with that point. A conversation moves forward by addressing what’s being said, not by introducing an unrelated comparison.
