Hirohiko Araki on the evil of AI art in today's "world of con artists". He worries about the impact AI-generated fakes will have on manga. He recently saw an AI image and was shocked at its similarity to his art style.

If you couldn't tell I've been catching up on the Titans. I'm honestly really glad DC said fuck it and integrated the Teen Titans from the old cartoons into the Titans lineup. I like being able to see these characters grow up alongside the comic version Teen Titans.
It’s not Liz Cheney in a vacuum, it’s the decision making that leads to campaigning with Liz Cheney.
The entire mindset leads to thinking you can win voters over with Beyoncé and Liz Cheney instead of Medicare for All and an arms embargo.
They were a worker movement being phased out by automation. The money men at the top of the food chain were automating their work and leaving them out in the cold.
Just like automation always does to workers. It only ever benefits the money men at the top.
Dick Grayson aka Nightwing aka the best butt in the DC universe.
Sketch done on guestcheck with ballpoint and sharpie.
I'm honestly loving the Nightwing era of DC Comics. I need to read his solo series as I have heard nothing but good things!
I see the Internet has reached the pointing fingers portion of Trump winning the election.
So many people don't want to think about or reckon with why this actually happened.
To recap. Democrats lost:
-White House
-US Senate
-Electoral College
-Governors Races
-Popular Vote
-Are on cusp of losing the House
If anyone really thinks its because 51% of the country is xenophobic—& not because Dems ignored their own base—it explains why Dems lost so badly.
The next book is going to be about Walmart/Amazon warehouses and worker exploitation in a world with magic anyway.
Just feels like I'm cementing the political/social commentary tone because of all of this.
My next book was already about the CEO of a big company fucking over a wizard and getting their comeuppance as an unstoppable force of magic comes after them.
But man my little urban fantasy series, Thaumaturge, is about to go off the rails with politics.
Not to be that guy, but also to 100% be that guy
“The world view of the party imposed itself most successfully on people incapable of understanding it.” 1984 (the novel)
I greatly encourage people not to drop politics after this election season is over. Stay informed. Stay engaged with what's happening in our country.
The right fears an informed and educated society because they will be mad and push back against the worst things they do.
I can guarantee one thing about the next 4 years.
My creative work is going to get a lot more obnoxiously political. For my fellow writers and artists I think yours should too.
i dont want to say i told you so, but this run to the moderates looks like a spectacular failure. "lethal military," muscular border policy, and parading liz cheney didn't swing votes in dems favor and only worked to normalize republican positions.
even if kamala barely wins democrats need to recognize that being moderate and attaching themselves to neocons is going to cook this country completely
i know i say this every election but no one else thinks it’s insane that like one or three small towns in like iowa, pennsylvania, and idaho (im just naming random culturally irrelevant states idc) have the power to sway national elections like why has no one tried to change that
