@tomlinsoncooper Not my fav necessarily, but the scene with the door taped shut made me laugh out loud, it feels like a dark comedy sketch that just keeps building on the tension. The sight of Bear yanking the door while Nikki is like "well, if you can't leave, maybe you should just stay" 😂

New Pokémon Champions format is quite fun! Accidentally forgot to transfer my shiny Swampert from GO, but climbing with Rain + Mega Dragonite/Venusaur instead has worked really well. Screens are soooo good

OBSESSION DESERVES AN OSCAR.

- $750k budget, now grossing over $230M in 3 weeks
- 1st movie in 40+ years to make more money in its 3rd weekend
- YouTuber director with absolute home run right off the rip
- Phenomenal “no-name” cast
- Sound design was absolute peak
- Use of literary devices was on point
- Character development, depth, narrative and immersion were incredible

This movie is so good, and you should go see it in theaters. You will not regret it.

Seeing Obsession a second time because it slapped so hard the first time

@AGoldmund Horror has literally always functioned as a vessel for social commentary and metaphor. I don't understand the issue with so-called "prestige" horror, is it that audiences have grown dumber and need things spelled out more explicitly? Bc having interesting cinematography isn't bad

@bedxchem A worse director would've had a scene like this. I don't think you're wrong for wanting to know, but I think the fact that we don't makes it scarier and more focused. Like how the store clerks essentially hand wave away the wish mechanics, all that matters is it works.

Obsession is incredible. Generational acting performances, some of the most unnerving cinematography I've seen in a long time. Wow

@xSGR_A_STARx I think one of the ways that doors are opened to the Backrooms is the desire to recess into one's own memories, escape current circumstances by mentally checking out. Backrooms offer a literal place to exist inside of the past, but distorts like memories are distorted with time

Backrooms was quite good, loved the cinematography. I didn't realize that the director was the same one as the web series, but that's really cool! I appreciate ScreenCrush's interpretation of the themes
