Aaron Gordon shows how situation plays a big factor in success. Gordon had 5 coaches in 7 years with the Magic and wasn’t used in a role emphasizing his feel as a cutter or screener. Nuggets plug him in an ideal role, it works right away, and he still has skill for huge nights.

After accepting a limited role all season next to Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray it’s so awesome to see him get chances to flourish on-ball when the matchup demands it—like in Game 1 and again tonight—rather than on a frequent basis like he did for the Magic.

Gordon said this series he doesn’t care about credit, he just wants to win. But he deserves all the credit in the world as a key reason why Denver is on the verge of a championship.
