@UpdatesFromYT@YouTube Is it so difficult to just show videos related to what I looked for… like search used to do? Not just the top 5 videos and then random stuff from subscriptions, not random ai crap. Just show all videos related to what I searched for that’s it. It’s all we want.
@JackCarrUSA I listened to Red Storm Rising and Without Remorse on audiobook after I started working at Red Storm Entertainment as an environment artist. Later bought them in Hard Cover to actually read them.
Day 5 of Modeling T3-M4 from Star Wars: Knights of The Old Republic in plasticity. I might have one to 2 more days on this before exporting for low poly clean up and UVs
I think one of the grossest parts of being laid off and having to hit the “open to work button” on linkedin is all of these finance “people” (I suspect most are bots) reaching out to connect with 0 like connections or industry connections.
Decided to work on a non weapon portfolio piece today. modeling T3-M4 from Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic in plasticity. I plan on making a whole scene with him. Streamed the process, will start the stream tomorrow around 1:00 or 2 EST
I did not want to do a LinkedIn style post here, but I think I’m connected to more artists on x. Unfortunately I was affected by the layoffs at Red Storm last week. If your team or someone you know is looking for a weapon/hard surface/prop/ environment artist with 11 years experience and a passion for creating games could you please pass my portfolio along. I’d prefer a local to NC or a remote position but for the right project I might be convinced of a change of scenery. My portfolio is in the comment below, over the next few days I’ll be adding more shipped work and updating my resume. Thank you
@Visuljkoo … I would say give plasticity a try and adjust your workflow on what you like doing best. I will say that for me plasticity has made modeling a lot more fun again.
My latest finished project. I made the Ruger a year or 2 ago as my first real project in plasticity and just now got around to finishing it, rendered in Marmoset Toolbag.
@Visuljkoo I think it’s probably worth knowing both. Plasticity has really sped things up for me. But learning about supporting edge loops or where to add bevels before a subd modifier (or the double turbo smooth modifier in max) can all still be useful…
