@scotchanglican @costiwhinn @MBTS And to tweet something assuming everyone will approve/agree is naïveté. Fair enough, Robby can do what he wants at his church. But he posted it here. Critique is fair. It’s not like he was overly harsh or critical.
@scotchanglican @costiwhinn @MBTS “Probably a 45 minute sermon.” Which means you haven’t watched it either. If he doesn’t have grounds to critique it based on that, then you don’t have grounds to defend it (applying your standard both ways). To say otherwise is hypocrisy. Anyway, I’m done. Have a blessed day.
@scotchanglican @costiwhinn @MBTS My point was Costi was not the one to bring attention to it originally. It’s not like he went and clipped that part out to publicly comment. Robby posted it, bringing attention to it in the public square. It’s silly to think it can’t be critiqued.
@AustinonAir1021 @DaltonStarkey_ Sure. The study group was the recommendation of the credentials committee. It was clear most in the room were against it. An amendment was offered and failed to be approved by messenger vote. Later, the credentials committee came back and rescinded the original recommendation.
@DaltonStarkey_ @AustinonAir1021 Actually, the MESSENGERS in the room was reaoundly against this. I was there. Twitter is such smoke and mirrors to make people see what they want them to see.
@coreysmith_116 This is why I'm not voting for him and why I feel many SBC pastors won't. As far as recording secretary goes, it's an outdated position that should probably be eliminated and many feel it inconsequential to SBC life and really just don't care. Just a regular pastor's opinion.
@coreysmith_116 I'm not voting for Voddie. I like Voddie. A SS school class at my church is working through Expository Apologetics right now. However, he's not a Southern Baptist or a Southern Baptist pastor. He pastored an independent Baptist church.
@everett_lunday@JoshBuice@VoddieBaucham Can you say “some” is not the entirety of the SBC as the original tweet was implying. BNG is CLEARLY theologically liberal and has never spoken on behalf of the SBC.
