Delaying the T2 by 14 days to ear emergence, to try and span both the flag leaf and the ear timings, has definitely allowed Stem Rust to take hold in Kasuku.
Now the various T1 combinations should be interesting. Kasuku is a variety that really needs Yellow Rust covered off early. Fusarium very apparent in the untreateds.
Very wet or dry conditions can exacerbate disease pressure as soils and plants are stressed. Many of these are just symptoms of a much, much deeper soil management problem - a result of, for example, mono-cropping or deep, continuous tillage.
