They're allowed to un-enroll you after 3 years. I spoke to someone at the electoral services Commission who confirmed that.

Combine that with the voter suppression laws this government passed, and you've got literally hundreds of thousands of people that may be in for a surprise when they're not able to vote this time around, because they didn't enrol 2 weeks earlier, before the new cutoff.
