The past few weeks in #Crypto have been a masterclass shitshow for most people.

Suicides, savings lost, years of trading given back to sharks, degens long into the strategic reserve announcement, only to get absolutely diabolically CUCKED by their impulsivity and sadness.

If you don't consider yourself part of the 90%, then it SHOULD be enlightening.

If you're not a loser, a tough moment, should be a wow moment. A reason to UPGRADE your sight. Especially now.

And this is because what has recently happened is a perfect display of a hard truth.

When everyone is thinking the same thing, they often lose.

Since every financial market in history has mediated by the fact that capital allocation comes after psychology & that we live inside a zero or negative sum game....

Lquidity & game theory, at all times, are FIRST principle indicators.

The market is a poker table with limited chips to go around.

And within this frame of thought, price is lagging indicator.

Everything else—such as speculating on fundamentals—unless it has every single poker player unable to deny its strength ----comes SECOND.

Those that need unwind gigantic positions wont simply cancel their orders because the fundamentals are hot. The fundamentals need to be undeniable.

If they are not undeniable they will unwind their positions no matter what and also be backed by smart traders who are taking obvious retest trades. This then also occurs alongside a demand vacuum, because often people who have liquidity become too scared to buy a local premium due to recent history.

Even in what I just said, there is enough alpha for you to contemplate for years on end.

Even what i just said will not be understood by most of you reading this.

However, let me explain further.

Fundamentals do change the fabric and price of an asset, but they do not always do so relative to your perceived time frame. And if the shift is not strong enough, they become a second principle, not a first principle.

Markets move based on how thick the order books are, how many traders/investors are trapped at specific areas, how many are sitting in stuck UPNL hoping for more, how much new interest there is, how much leverage there is to unwind in a specific direction, how much money is interested only at certain levels & how everyone—without a new influx of capital—will always fight to eat from each other ---- FIRST.

The game theory soup reveals price as a lagging indicator and gives you X-ray vision.

Simplified again:

You gun-sling on the TELEGRAPHED promise that the BTC strategic reserve is going to make you rich at the same time as everyone else and get surprised when you get completely shat on.

This is because fail to consider there is only a limited bucket to go around & that when everyone is right, no one is thinking.

I wrote about this interplay extensively in Tier 7 almost three years ago, but even there, even though many of us are rich, only a few REALLY understand the gravity of this equation.

Being able to dissect the market into key areas that dictate why price moves & then ordering them all into a first-principle approach (actively, reactively, and proactively) as things develop, is the TRUE skeleton key.

Read it ten times and try to understand what I just said. It is the method of all methods.

The truth cannot be tethered to a specific "do this" or "do that" system but should adjust itself, based on a compass of timeless principles, because the market is fluid.

This is the TRUE meaning behind discretionary trading.

Principles.

Chew on it and chew on it, until you are way past the obvious head nod you may give agreement to this post.

Get it way past the ahah moment & into practicality. Only if you do this, only then will you truly prosper.
