@SPrather3 @FAANews @SecDuffy Staffing shortages started over a decade ago….we haven’t had enough controllers since all of the hires after the strike in 1981 were forced to retire in the 2010s

And if you have ever flown, I’m sure you don’t think about the massive amount of people that are getting you from point A to point B. It’s stressful as it is, add on not getting compensated fairly. Just a thought

A shutdown is a possibility, and I am aware of that. It doesn’t mean I should expect to not get paid for the work I do 6 days a week, forced to come in on days off and stay late or come early to cover
