Cognitive Neuroscience Lab @uni_regensburg headed by Angelika Lingnau using behavioral, neuroimaging, and computational methods to study action representations
Now it is official: I will be starting as Professor for Clinical Neuropsychology and Neuropsychological Psychotherapy on 1st of Oct at the University of Regensburg. Stay tuned for new developments and open positions in our team...
AI systems can now create remarkably accurate reconstructions of what someone is looking at based on recordings of their brain activity. https://t.co/jtwjy7Bvrj

A thread (1/N)
We argue that understanding actions from vision is a multi-faceted process
that serves many behavioral goals, and is served by diverse mechanisms and
brain systems. We point out directions for future research that may inspire
future studies.
In this review, we ask what we have learned about the ability to understand
the actions of other people. We first focus on the kinds of information an
observer may gain when viewing an action, followed by a review of brain systems
that support action understanding.
