The TX/Coreum–DTCC Timeline: Why the Chronology Matters
The significance of the TX/Coreum–DTCC timeline is not that the SEC “preferred” TX/Coreum over DTCC.
The more interesting point is that SoloTex and DTCC were solving fundamentally different regulatory problems.
SoloTex was built around Texture Capital, a FINRA-member broker-dealer and regulated securities infrastructure, with Sologenic/Coreum providing the blockchain technology.
That placed tokenization inside an existing U.S. securities framework.
The basic architecture was essentially:
Investor → regulated broker-dealer → securities infrastructure/custody → token representation → Coreum/TX
DTCC was tackling a much broader problem. DTC sits at the center of U.S. securities custody and settlement. Its December 2025 SEC No-Action Letter addressed tokenization of DTC-custodied securities while maintaining the connection between the tokenized representation and DTC's official books and records.
That creates fundamentally different regulatory questions:
Does the token faithfully represent the underlying security? Are investor rights preserved? Can tokenization and de-tokenization reconcile with traditional records? Can transfers occur safely? How does blockchain infrastructure interact with existing custody and settlement?
DTCC wasn't simply putting securities on a blockchain. It was connecting blockchain rails to the plumbing of the U.S. securities market.
The chronology is therefore striking:
October 2025: SoloTex/Texture receives its FINRA green light for tokenized-stock activity.
December 2025: DTC receives its SEC No-Action Letter for tokenization.
May 2026: The SEC directly engages TX Labs, CoreNest and Texture regarding the architecture.
July 2026: DTC moves tokenization into production.
The strongest TX thesis therefore isn't “TX beat DTCC to SEC approval.”
It is more precise:
TX/Coreum was already being positioned inside a FINRA-regulated U.S. tokenized-securities architecture roughly two months before the SEC granted DTC its landmark tokenization relief.
That suggests TX was not simply building blockchain infrastructure and waiting for regulators to figure out how to use it.
It was already being tested within the regulatory perimeter while that perimeter was expanding.
