Yesterday afternoon we had a great time learning how to make Welsh Cakes from @ClassroomK! They went down a storm and there wasn't a crumb left! 🧑‍🍳👨‍🍳🌟

This week we have made our own clocks so that we could practice our knowledge of o'clock, half past, quarter past and quarter to. We were absolutely amazing at telling the time and we have so much more to learn! ⏲️⌛️⭐️

We had a brilliant science lesson where we looked at what a magnet is. We looked at the two different poles and tested which attracted or repelled! 🧲

We had a brilliant computing lesson today! We practiced our coding and learnt how to make an object repeat an action using a timer! We even made a ghost learn how to dance 👻💻

Today we had our mini cook off for @ClassroomK! We made some delicious pizzas 🍕They were so delicious that even the ducks wanted to come and try a piece! 🐬⭐️🦆

Today we have been looking at different examples of an explanation text ahead of our next writing cycle. Someone had decided to cut one up into lots of pieces and we had to put it back in the right order!

Today we worked together to design our own nightmare schools in our Jigsaw session. There were a lot of zombie teachers and messy classrooms involved! We are definitely happy that we don't go to one of these schools! 😱🐬⭐️

What a lovely Monday we have had today! We have been so creative in boxing up The Magic Brush in writing and changing parts of the story! We ended the day making the most of the sunshine and having story time out on the grass ☀️Well done on a fab day Year 3! 🐬

Today is Friday and that means we have had a whole week of 100% attendance! Well done Year 3! I wonder if we can have two weeks in a row at 100%? 🐬⭐️

Today we were extremely lucky to meet a Victorian miner with the help of @NCMME! We started by looking at a real piece of coal! Before learning all about the different jobs down a Victorian mine and asking the miner some questions! What a fab afternoon!🐬⭐️

We have continued to look at shadows in Science by having 4 mini labs at once! We investigated how the size of a shadow can change by drawing around our shadows and the classroom started to look like a crime scene! 🔦🧑‍🔬

We had some very suspicious objects and posters left in our classroom last night! Today we became detectives in writing to try and figure out what the story behind them could be 🕵️🐬✍️

To end our Monday, we had a lovely time in Art to practice using our watercolours and using different shades from dark to light. I think we have some artists in the making! 🐬🧑‍🎨🖌️

We've had an amazing first day back here in Dolphins! It was so nice to see so many happy faces again! We had a lot of fun on our first day back and took a trip outside to see our shadows in Science, before testing which objects were opaque in our classroom!🔦🐬

During lockdown, we took part in a writing competition that was ran by the author Peter J. Murray. Out of all of the entries, Peter personally picked a Year 3 winner. I am SO proud to say that our very own Layla was the winner! Congratulations Layla, super writing! ⭐️🐬
