The vault wasn’t necessarily broken. The delivery chain may have been.

Ledger is investigating a serious incident involving devices sold through CryptoBilis, a Southeast Asian reseller. Ledger confirmed that at least one impacted device contained an unauthorized hardware implant.

The important distinction: there is currently no confirmed evidence that Ledger’s internal systems or direct sales channels were compromised. The confirmed cases have been linked to devices distributed through the reseller.

Researchers estimate that more than 300 wallets may have lost between **$86M and $93M** across Bitcoin, Ethereum and Tron. Those figures remain estimates, not a final confirmed total.
