Effective Immediately, all organizations using PHP for their systems are advised to be prepared for an update addressing two critical vulnerabilities. PHP is widely used for web applications. These vulnerabilities often provide a direct path to the server's file system or database. If an immediate update is not feasible, it is recommend that organizations take the system offline until it can be fully mitigated. NSA will follow up shortly with more specific guidance.

Lightning Infrastructure: Top 85 in the World

BHODL Public 01 continues to climb.
Our public node has now broken into the top 85 globally by channel count and the top 89 globally by capacity on the Lightning Network. Capacity now sits at over $650,000 USD/8.27 BTC, and the node is routing a significant dollar and BTC value every day.

Each week the node grows in capacity, channels and connections, then more businesses, developers and AI agents can route through reliable, well-managed infrastructure — and the stronger the network becomes as a whole. We said at launch that our public nodes would be a building block for the wider ecosystem; the top-85 ranking is further proof that the approach is working. Business Development: Building on a Strong US Trip

Following our meetings last week in the United States, we are now speaking to, and setting up further calls with, potential partners.

We can't disclose the specifics as yet, but we are very excited about the growth opportunities emerging here as we work towards becoming a globally significant provider of Bitcoin liquidity to the BTC payments network. Watch this space.

Bitmela: Mentoring the Next Generation

I joined my first call with the Ideathon hopefuls ahead of my US trip, and will take part in further calls and meetings in my role as a mentor and judge for the candidates in @thebitmela Ideathon.

We are looking to meet the next generation of entrepreneurs in this market — particularly those building in the Lightning space — with whom we may be able to develop commercial relationships down the line.

ImagineIF - Nashville

This update is slightly late as I am just back from the US. I was in Nashville for two conferences, at the invitation of the inimitable @bitkite of @bitcoinpark_ and @HRF .

Focusing on energy, Bitcoin, AI and how enterprise in all these sectors can serve as a springboard for an explosion in development, the line up for the @imagineif_bna event earlier in the week was extraordinary; Art Laffer (@realartlaffer of Laffer Curve fame), the Deputy Governor of the State, two US Senators and a former five-star general, to name just a few, and all in one place. Some highlights are linked in the thread.

Returning to the UK to find the Circle Line down, the District Line down, and no trains running home, was a rude slap in the face and a huge (embarrassing) contrast.

It is almost impossible to imagine a gathering like ImagineIF, with speakers of that calibre, convening in the United Kingdom to discuss AI, Bitcoin, and how energy abundance sits at the intersection of the two, and at the heart of human flourishing itself.

Instead, our conversations here revolve around using less and less energy just to survive, or driving a little further to save five pence a litre on petrol.

I don’t want my kids to accept that flattened, defeatist future, and I’ll fight with everything I have to ensure we end up on a different and better path.

Global Freedom Tech Summit

I spent the rest of the week at the Global Freedom Tech Summit with freedom tech builders, human rights activists and dissidents from around the world. Some subtle detail on this also in the thread.

For obvious reasons we have to be discreet about the subject matter and the invitees. What I can say is that it’s a privilege to be in the room with these people and hear their stories of fighting back against dictators wherever they may be, using Bitcoin, mesh networks or local AI. These are tools first and foremost, and they let us protect and preserve our humanity.

I had a number of valuable conversations with freedom tech activists who may need BHODL’s services. There’s a lot to follow up on!

And regarding travel and accommodation, with a view to the ongoing bear market I have taken the decision to cover my flights and hotel costs personally, so there is no cost to the company arising out of this travel.
