In the remote, mountainous terrains of Tangdhar, Kashmir — right along the Line of Control — the Indian Army is once again proving that its role goes far beyond safeguarding borders.
Under Operation Drishti, Army medical teams conducted a dedicated eye screening camp where 98 locals (including 84 civilians) were examined using advanced equipment.
Out of these, 65 patients have been selected for free cataract surgeries at a mega eye care camp scheduled for September 2026.
From elderly villagers who had lost hope of seeing their grandchildren clearly, to families in far-flung areas with limited access to healthcare — the Indian Army is restoring vision, dignity, and quality of life.
This is the true spirit of our forces: Not just protectors, but caregivers.
In Tangdhar, Udhampur, and across Jammu & Kashmir, initiatives like Op Drishti are bringing specialized medical care to the doorsteps of the people. Free screenings, surgeries, medicines, and follow-ups — all powered by the Army’s commitment to “We Care”.
When the Indian Army says “Nation First”, it doesn’t stop at security. It extends to health, education, disaster relief, and community welfare. This is nation-building in its purest form.
Jai Hind.

🚨 Filter the Fiction
❌ Propaganda accounts are falsely claiming that Lt Gen Deepak Ahuja, Director General Ordnance Services of the Indian Army, was found taking a bath in a swimming pool thereby polluting it; during an overseas visit.
✅ FACT: The allegation is completely false being an unrelated clip of a different person being circulated by propaganda networks to spread disinformation.

✅ This is another example of a fabricated narrative amplified by known Pakistan-sponsored propaganda accounts like @ThokaReturns that routinely target India through misleading and unverifiable content.
🎯 The pattern is clear: sensational allegation + unrelated content + coordinated amplification = manufactured propaganda.

Militants hiding behind civilians and exploiting women as shields for movement, arms and drug networks is a reality that rarely gets the attention it deserves. Yet Social Media, the entire narrative is often reduced to "the army is lawless." Accountability matters for everyone, but ignoring one side's actions while amplifying only the other side's faults doesn't help peace it deepens the conflict.
A serious question that deserves public discussion: If organizations and leaders who openly support the idea of "Greater Nagalim" are now working alongside sections of Manipuri society under common platforms, what is the shared position on Manipur's territorial integrity?
Cooperation among communities is important, but it should not come at the cost of clarity on issues that affect the future of the state. The people of Manipur have a right to know whether such collaborations are purely for social and political unity or whether they involve any understanding on long-standing territorial demands.
Manipur's history, identity and territorial integrity are deeply connected. Any ambiguity on these matters only creates uncertainty and mistrust among the people. Transparency and honest dialogue are essential.
The question is simple: Can unity be built while firmly respecting the existing territorial boundaries of Manipur?
The people deserve clear answers, not assumptions.

You want the young officer to sacrifice his life for the love of the Nation, but you don’t want him to express his love for his fiancée.
In the Army we say ‘Youngster nahi karega, toh kaun karega’.
If you can not find a fault in his professional capabilities, don’t do this nuktachini for such a pure gesture of love and belonging.
Military equipment has been on display during many ‘Know your Army’ exhibitions around the country. The students and non military personnel have clicked pics with it showing pride and love for the Army. So, please don’t bring in the national security angle into this.
Let the young soldier do his national duty with pride and honour 👍

Speaking at the graduation ceremony in Maharashtra, Lieutenant General Devendra Sharma said that 59 officers successfully passed out from the Combat Army Aviation Training School (CATS), while 25 officers earned their coveted Flying Wings after completing Basic Flying Training.
He remarked that the event symbolises the Indian Army’s rigorous and professional approach towards preparing officers for modern combat environments and operational readiness.
According to Lt Gen Sharma, CATS conducts an intensive three-month programme that equips Army pilots with foundational, advanced, and combat aviation skills essential for battlefield operations.
Highlighting the institution’s legacy, he noted that over the last 23 years, the academy has trained 1,794 officers, including women officers and personnel from allied foreign countries.
He pointed out that the school has witnessed remarkable growth since its establishment, expanding from only three courses initially to 18 specialised courses being conducted at present.
The Army commander further stated that nearly 150 officers undergo aviation-related training annually at the institution, strengthening the operational capabilities of Army Aviation.
Referring to Exercise Aviation Shakti, he explained that the exercise demonstrates the Army Aviation Corps’ ability to synchronise air assets effectively during wartime scenarios and tactical operations.
Extending his congratulations, Lt Gen Sharma praised the graduating officers for their dedication and achievement, calling the occasion a proud milestone in their military careers.
On evolving battlefield technologies, he underscored the increasing role of drones in warfare, stating that advanced unmanned systems are becoming indispensable for intelligence gathering and surveillance.
He explained that modern drones equipped with sophisticated electro-optical payloads, long-range capability, high endurance, and real-time telemetry can deliver accurate battlefield intelligence instantly to commanders.
Lt Gen Sharma added that these advanced drone platforms are now being inducted into the Indian Army, significantly enhancing reconnaissance and operational effectiveness in future combat scenarios.
US Army Aviation has 4,300 rotary-wing aircraft — that's the 2nd largest air force in the world. UK Army owns Apache helicopters. Why? Because doctrine dictates armies need close air support, air assault, battlefield logistics. Not turf protection. Pure operational need.
