@Paul83338874@DublinCommuters The combined 23/24 frequency is a slight improvement over the 83. 12 to 10 minutes for most of the day. If you include the 9 it is a drop however.
@kieranmcdonag10@DublinCommuters Agree 100%. 23:05 is far too early. There should be at least two more buses after that. The first few AM departures from the airport aren't really necessary. No flights arrive then and staff are very unlikely to finish at that time either.
@yascaoimhin @cartb4thehorse@CAugustenborg@BusConnects Exactly, this argument about elderly people and not being able to walk a few extra minutes is completely nonsensical. Almost no one is delivered directly from door to door by a bus with no walking involved. Going to the shopping centre for example requires walking around it!
@dublinbusnews The worst delay I can see at the moment is 12 minutes and most are only 3-5 minutes late. If such small delays result in cancelled services, there's something very wrong.
@Silverfang2021@TFIupdates@GoAheadIreland That's not true. If a service is running you can see the actual bus locations here https://t.co/fOBF3SjnHp (it's also in the TFI app for each route but's not the easiest to find)
@John_C_Hayden_@ConorReddy95@dublinbusnews The 83 is a disaster recently. Other routes like the 9 and 140 have cancelled buses as well but they're nowhere near as bad. It's like Dublin Bus have the 83 at the top of their list if they need to cancel a service.
@DublinAirport It would be great if bus stops could be installed so it can be accessed by public transport. The Bus Connects 19 route (due to start in September) and 24 (estimated in early 2025) will pass by here.
@DublinCommuters Shay L'EstrangeΒ (People Before Profit-Solidarity): "We already have an excessive amount of surveillance in our society, so I cannot agree with this measure."
That's some answer! At least you know what kind of person you'd be electing.
@AislingAontu "Bulfin Road is soon to lose its only bus route, 68a, thanks to Bus Connects"
Complete misinformation. The 58 from Rathcoole to Dublin Port will serve Bulfin Road. The G1 and G2 are a very short walk away. As will the 73 on Sth Circular Road when it launches.
@JeremyHellwig@vanillatary Yeah that's not always enough. If only one route stopped there the driver should have stopped anyway. If Scottish bus drivers are anything like some Irish bus drivers, they regard passengers as an inconvenience.
@threestationsq@vanillatary I love travelling to Germany but I hate the tap water thing. If you ask Germans about it they always make excuses about restaurants making most of their money off drinks. As if Germany is some unique case and no one would order other drinks otherwise.
@JeremyHellwig@vanillatary The signalling the bus thing isn't uncommon. You normally have to do it in Ireland, the UK and Portugal (probably more also). It does at least means the bus doesn't have to stop unnecessarily.
