I-645 does not reduce any funding for schools until that money starts coming in a couple years.
So a YES vote on I-645 simply sends it back to the legislature to fix their funding issues in a more responsible way.
Too ALL Washington voters:
Vote YES on the initiatives, and consider my recommendations for the Supreme Court. The court elections are among the most crucial elections this year, and we cannot afford to sit them out. Remember, the case against the income tax will head to the bench next year, so it matters who is elected.

WHAT DO THE LOTTERY, CIGARETTE TAXES, LIQUOR TAXES, CAPITAL GAINS, AND THE CLIMATE COMMITMENT ACT HAVE IN COMMON?
FOLLOW THE MONEY. 🔎
Over the past several days, I’ve been digging into Washington’s tax laws, budgets, and spending decisions.
And one thing keeps coming up.
Washingtonians are told what new revenue will fund and what results we can expect.
But over time, funding rules change. Accounts get restructured. Budget priorities shift.
And now we have a new 9.9% income tax.
We’re told it starts with income over $1 million.
But what about tomorrow?
What guarantees that threshold won’t be lowered? What protects the original spending promises? And who’s measuring whether we’re actually getting the results?
These aren’t accusations. They’re questions worth asking when we look at the history of how Washington manages public money.
I’ve managed budgets for 30 years, and here’s what I know:
You audit before you ask for more.
Before Olympia asks Washingtonians for another dollar, we deserve transparency, accountability, and measurable results from the dollars already collected.
We are not undertaxed. We are underaudited.
Follow the money. Measure the results.
Raise the bar. Not your taxes.

THE #NFL REFS SCREWED SEATTLE, BUT GAVE KC A FIRST DOWN ON AN IDENTICAL PLAY.
THE #CHIEFS HAD A PLAY EARLIER THIS SEASON AND THE REFS RULED IT A FIRST DOWN.
COOPER KUPP DID THE SAME THING AGAINST THE #49ERS BUT THE REFS RULED HIM SHORT EVEN AFTER REVIEW:
IT MAKES ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE HOW THIS WAS RULED SHORT OF A FIRST DOWN.
COOPER KUPP NEVER STEPPED OUT OF BOUNDS BEFORE EXTENDING THE BALL PAST THE FIRST-DOWN MARKER:
THE REFS SCREW THE #SEAHAWKS:
COOPER KUPP DOVE FOR THE FIRST DOWN ON FOURTH DOWN AND CLEARLY GOT IT.
THE REFS RULED HIM SHORT AND REVIEWED AND CAME TO THE SAME CONCLUSION.
ONE OF THE WORST CALLS YOU WILL EVER SEE.
SEATTLE GETS ROBBED.
WOW. WOW. WOW.
