My friend James Lankford, knowing that minutes later his entire party will vote against our bipartisan bill to fix the border, explaining what it means to be a United States Senator.
One of the most important speeches I've heard in 10 years in the Senate.
Proud of you, friend.
I was proud to host baby Evan and his parents at the State Capitol today for the State of the State. He is one of the first babies eligible for our new Baby Bonds program. This isn’t just an investment, it’s a symbol of hope and a promise that everyone can make it here in CT.

🚨BIG NEWS in OFFSHORE WIND
CT, RI, and MA become the 1st states in the US to agree to work together, ensuring cost reduction, greater regional job creation in good paying industries, and promotion of environmental justice and equity.
We can do much more when we collaborate💪.
Expanding access to behavioral health care is a top priority. In Southeastern CT, the Child & Family Agency is making that a reality through its new Urgent Crisis Center, one of four new centers across CT made possible by $1.7M in federal American Rescue Plan funding.

Dianne Feinstein will be rightly remembered as a trailblazer—the first woman to serve as mayor of San Francisco and the first woman elected to the Senate from California. But once she broke those barriers and walked through those doors, she got to work.
I first got to know Dianne in the Senate, where she was a fierce advocate for gun safety measures and civil rights. Later, when I was president, I came to rely on her as a trusted partner in the fight to guarantee affordable healthcare and economic opportunity for everyone.
The best politicians get into public service because they care about this country and the people they represent. That was certainly true of Dianne Feinstein, and all of us are better for it. Today Michelle and I are thinking of her daughter, Katherine, and everyone who knew and loved her.

As we celebrate our nation this Fourth of July, I’m thinking of the countless service members who sacrifice so much to keep us safe.
We will always be in debt to those who defend our nation and democracy around the world.
This summer, Connecticut children receive free admission to dozens of museums in the Second District and many more across our state.
Thanks to @GovNedLamont for bringing this program back with federal American Rescue Plan funding.

This week, the first wind turbine components arrived at State Pier New London. An exciting marker and the start of decades-long economic development – in clean energy and beyond

This is a scandal. The Supreme Court is now just a 9 person legislature, slinging takes and making law with cases that are basically made up by friendly right wing groups in order to get the new law they want from their 6 buddies on the court. https://t.co/mXYJPvHLDN
Each year, we celebrate Juneteenth (short for "June Nineteenth") , a holiday commemorating the effective end of slavery in the United States. It is sometimes called Freedom Day or Emancipation Day. #RockTheVote
On Juneteenth, we commemorate the anniversary of the delayed but welcome news of freedom reaching the enslaved Black folks in Galveston, Texas. It’s a reminder that even in the darkest hours, there is cause to hope — and a reason to keep building a country that lives up to its highest ideals.
Connecticut's first-in-the-nation baby bonds program will see its first eligible participants born starting July 1. I hope lawmakers in Congress will follow our lead and help level the playing field for children across the nation. #ForEveryKidsFuture@prosperitynow
