A lot of rain coming to areas of Vermont tonight into tomorrow (Wednesday-Thursday). If you can clear storm drains of leaves or other debris it could save your street from some flooding!
[600am] We've issued a flood warning for the Lamoille River at Johnson. The river is expected to exceed its banks late this morning and will lead to moderate flooding this afternoon. #flood#vtwx
Warm temperatures have led to snowmelt at higher elevations and we are seeing gradual river rises across the North Country. The first wave of rain is moving into the area and sharper rises are expected...thus the threat of #flooding will increase later tonight. #vtwx#nywx
Flood watch continues this a.m. for possible localized ice jam flooding. Last night the Mad River near Spillway Rd, Moretown, VT rose 6 feet to bankful as water backed up behind an ice jam seen in the graph below. Let us know if you see any ice jam flooding in your area. Thanks.
