That type of person would see no problem w the fruits of western civ destroyed when they've deemed western civ an anathema to the proper leftward march of humanity and the equal distribution of resources. The protestors don't want better schools, they want to rebuild the world.

I posited to a left-leaning former friend, seemingly normal middle class mid-west guy, whether it was justifiable to destroy art in museums because it could be seen as racist. His answer was yes, absolutely, if it meant that the world that follows is free of racism.

@BrianAndrews78 @CoveredGeekly It's argued that the Thing retains the memories of those it assimilates. If it inherently knows that drinking gas is bad, be it by taste or something else, then it's far more beneficial to it to spit it out and continue the mimicry than it would be to consume it.
