i hooked my whoop to my work calendar to find which coworker gives me the most stress 🚨
thanks to fable, I reverse engineered whoop to pull per minute heart rate. nd matched spikes with cal events and attendees
I now have a leaderboard and I think about it daily.
few info masked for obvious reasons ;)
just to state the obvious: think there's a collison course between those who believe research and science should be open and those who believe we are in an accelerating singularity curve.
I have many smart friends who have believed both for a while but seeing more and more their realization that these beliefs will be in conflict.
I for one believe that America and the west needs open and distributed access to research and computation and sharing of ideas at all times.

@0xmj_ I had 1.5 million and spend it on art.
For average artist and individual that is an infinite amount of money. Could have bought a house and have left over for MidnightBreeze.
But somehow this felt, disingenuous.
So I spend it all on breeze. And here we are.
Art.
Ethereum has been winning, is winning, and has never lost.
The most-used subprotocol or subchain by actual users is EVM-based. Every major wallet either supports ETH natively or is built entirely on EVM architecture.
Every chain that tried to compete failed to attract meaningful developer adoption. Algorand, Tezos, Polkadot - none crossed the threshold. Most “ETH killers” eventually found a single niche and settled: NEAR became a solid intent-based bridge layer, TRON became a USDT wallet. That’s not winning, that’s narrowing.
Cheap L2s never retained long-term users either. The pattern is always the same: airdrop announcement, usage spike, MEV bots flood in because gas is cheap, then silence. Base is a clean example of that cycle.
Ethereum sets the vision. Every fork and new proposal chases the EIP backlog because the entire infrastructure stack - Etherscan, Infura, Alchemy, Blockscout - standardized on EVM. Deviate from that standard and you’re on your own. That’s why deploying a forked contract to TRON is a nightmare, why Optimism shipped multiple broken hard forks chasing weird gas estimation edge cases, and why dapp developers refuse to write chains of if/else blocks just to handle behavioral differences across 10+ forked EVMs.
No one wants that complexity in their JavaScript. No wallet team wants to maintain it either.
Conform to EVM or get left behind. Ethereum didn’t enforce that rule - the ecosystem did.
We are allowing a confluence of temporary circumstances to affect our views of the Ethereum and ETH thesis and trajectory, which is going Wonderfully.
Ethereum overcame a 2022-24 EF that was imo rudderless and willfully ignorant to the realities of the app layer growth.
Ethereum survived the previous US administration basically trying to shut us down.
Ethereum delivered the merge, blobs, a flourishing L1+L2 ecosystem, a dominant market share of app capital, and an onchain revolution that's rewriting the foundations of the global economic order at the highest levels.
Right now, all over the world, corps and govts are launching and scaling RWAs, L1 defi protocols, and L2s at a breathtaking pace.
Many major governments, including all of the largest ones, are actively working on stablecoin/defi legislation that tacitly assumes that they have no choice but to get in the onchain arena and compete. On Ethereum.
So... and I can't stress this enough... What the Fuck Do We Think Is Wrong Exactly?
We will do as we have always done:
Play long term games with long term people.
Build, grow.
And expect global ubiquity for Ethereum and ETH. Because it's coming, fast.

you should interrogate all software you use daily with codex. there is a lot of low hanging fruit. for example, i was wondering why solidity compilers take such a long time to download. for years i thought they had a slow server. turned out the culprit was a progress bar renderer that has used tiny chunk increments and reassembling bytes instead of bytearray or a file output. fixing all this sped it up 42x.
ASCII Magic just leveled up ✨
Check out at https://t.co/BW9Q7GN1RO
- 12 Styles to play with:
• Characters — classic ASCII at any size, the soul of the tool
• Block Characters
• Dots, Lines, Diagonal, Cross, Diamond, Mixed
• Pixel Art, LEGO, Mosaic, Braille
Two new post-processing effects on top of any Style:
• Per-character Bloom — chars actually glow now, even mid-animation
• Per-character Chromatic Aberration — that lit-up RGB-fringe look
- Brand new: Point Lights. Drop up to 4 light sources on the canvas, watch chars get hit with hot-white centres and soft falloff.
- Sliders got a complete overhaul. Each one does ONE thing now — Coverage = dither, Density = brightness threshold, Brightness/Contrast = colour only. No more ghost characters appearing when you nudge the wrong knob. Tested thoroughly.
- Animation presets — Wave (2D ripple from the centre), Cascade L→R / R→L / T→B, Reveal (typewriter), Pulse.
Have fun!
No one did it quite like this mfer.
He could have just left the space with 2M after the launch of his Midnight Breeze V1.
But this mad man reinvested them all into the making of Midnight Breeze V2 that took him 4 years.
Not only this mfer lives on vibes, he spreads them.
MidnightBreeze launched in the biggest crash of the past 4 years. 10th of october, I initially wanted to release. But pushed just a week further, to really try and get the attention.
Launching is a delicate matter. Balancing on the edge of the sword. One move and you can lose all momentum. I had put myself in a difficult position. You see, entertaining folks like yourself is not easy.
Most of you have a 2 second attention span and didn't even make it past the first sentence of this post. Let alone see the other 2 seconds of the video. So how, in the world, do you bet on that?
That was the thing, I didn't. I knew I had to get attention differently. So I worked hard on reaching out, individually to those in the space who have a voice build for this purpose. And was relying on my previous momentum to sustain it.
What did I do to build momentum? A few things.
I started with a banger personal video. In order to connect to my art, the thing I want to sell, you had to connect to me.
I spend 1500$ producing one. Working closely together with my editor (cost was: new camera = 900 euro + 500$ editor cost + 100$ polish)
Luckily for me, it picked up, and got a lot of attention here on X. You guys gave me 200 followers overnight. And I knew, from that moment? The moment I posted that video. I had to sustain the bangers.
But why dutch? why do you need to sustain it?
Because dear anon, if you spend 3 months producing 2 trailers worth 60k. If you spend 12 months producing a website 100k , if you spend 4 years creating art worth 800k.
THEN YOU NEED ATTENTION
This algorhitm is so fucked for people like me
(and you)
Because it rewards completely different metrics. Its busy with drama. busy with toxicity. It wants to generate negative energy, because that keeps you on here the longest.
And my posts are focused on the opposite. Connection, nostalgia, beauty, and you. yeah mate, its actually all about you.
Always has been.
So, after banger post A about me, I had 7 days of "the list" another social metric. Because like I said, its always been about you. And if you feel special. Thats attention.
So I put a 100 people on a list. Highly curated. Very specific individuals. A mix of people who, were close to me, and new faces who I felt would actually appreciate MidnightBreeze. You need this, if you want to expand. It can't just be your own bubble. (keep that in mind)
The list let to "DISTANT SUMMER RAIN" a free mint. Why did this mint matter?
1. It asked a pivotal question to the participants.
2. It made people look at me
3. It was the first step in teaching you what MidnightBreeze was about
It got minted 3000 times. But, only the first 100 were "special" remember? That is because they got to go to the next phase.
So here in order:
Connect to me > connect to yourself > connect to others > connect to breeze
Thats the logic. We did the first two. So after DSR,
I RELEASED ANOTHER BANGER
Explaining to you guys on X, why these "notes" aka the Tatami Room, matters. The tatami room was like a public forum, inspired by @SamSpratt his masquerade but put in a breeze jacket. Those who owned breeze got to engage with the space. And those who owned the notes got to write the lore.
Suddenly MidnightBreeze was alive.
Now, for my final trick. After all this, we release the trailer below (which was initially only meant to play on the website, not for socials)
Then I released another trailer, the story trailer, showing the depth of the project. Of the art. That this world, is more then a banner, more then a background. Its a place with stories. A place to think about.
(And I hope I thought you that through the experiences so far)
AND YES ANOTHER BANGER, THE HYPE TRAILER
BECAUSE ONE TRAILER IS NOT ENOUGH, TWO TRAILERS IS NOT ENOUGH, BUT THREE?!!!!
Well.. It in the end was not enough. Because right before I release the market crashed. So hard. And so much that well, I could connect you all you want.
But the dollar reigns supreme.
Not for all of you, plenty of you came out, supported me. Bought the breeze. I was thankful. So thankful. You have given me another year or two to figure things out. To make this project a success regardless.
And I intend to do so. Because this stuff is deeper then most art you'll find here. And its my magnum opus. And I love it. So, fuck it.
we breeze
And thats my little market story for today. Goodluck if you made it to the end. And if you did. Comment your thoughts. Would be fun to see what you think or have to say.
Stay bullish. Stay breezy
