@SamCharizardGuy If Maylene had challenged Paul to 1-1 martial arts fight and Paul wins a martial arts fight, Paul gets the Cobble Badge from Maylene. The reason I say this was because, Paul is shown to be dangerous because of his Pokemon but have we seen Paul being dangerous without them. NO!

@SamCharizardGuy Since Paul has disrespected Maylene and calling her weak after defeating her in a Gym Battle, Maylene should have thought of challenging Paul to a martial arts fight to see if Paul can get the Cobble Badge from her and to see who is the real weakling.

@SamCharizardGuy The reason why Maylene should have fought Paul in a Physical Combat because, after Paul defeats Maylene in a Gym Battle and call her weak, Maylene should have thought of fighting Paul in 1-1 martial arts fight to see if Paul can defend himself in a Physical Fight.

@SamCharizardGuy That is mostly because Paul is very smart and a brilliant strategist, meaning he is strong in the brain while his Pokemon acts like a Physical Armor, Sword and Shield and Paul hides behind his powerful Pokemon but when engaged to a real battle, he would lose.
