@ompsychiatrist And the long term effects on someone’s mitochondrial production and efficiency to produce energy can be detrimental. I haven’t been able to work out for years because of mitochondrial dysfunction and toxicity damage to my CNS system. I used to be a top athlete, now bed ridden.

@Sunny083193 Whats your lived experience on this? I’ve experienced both a cold turkey attempt, and a slow taper with severe paradoxical reactions, toxicity effects. 17 years in total on these drugs.

@c3vvno Absolutely 💯, doesn’t mean you’ll stabilise. There is no such thing as a safe symptom free taper off of psychiatric drugs, especially after long term use. The taper coaches that guarantee safe tapers should be held accountable if someone is seriously injured under their care.

@worked_over I was on citalopram at 40mg for 9 years, then switched to Effexor at 75mg for 3 years, so 75mg when I attempted cold turkey. That level of psychological torture is something that I’ll never forget. Wishing you all the best. 🙏

@tylerblack32 @samhall404 It’s not withdrawal, it’s neurological damage, Toxic encephalopathy, that can take years to recover from. It depends on a number of factors, drug type, SNRI, SSRI, length of time on the drug, taking the drug while the brain was still in its developing stage, etc.

@samhall404 @tylerblack32 Tyler Black had severe akathisia for a day after intense exercise Sam, we’re ultimately debating against a brick wall mate. Those of us who’ve been harmed know the truth, we know the pharmaceutical companies have blood on their hands. Better to focus on our health, recoveries. 🙏

That’s great, that after 20 or so years your body is still managing to function ok whilst on a powerful drug. After a decade for me my body, brain was slowly deteriorating from the toxicity loads, effects. All the best. 😊

@AhmadRehanKhan What do you define as a psychiatric illness, what is the underlying cause? Are you still using the good old fashioned chemical imbalance theory as a reason to put someone indefinitely on SSRIS or SNRIS?

@headass_deadass @tylerblack32 I’ve read all the trials mate, I’ve been researching for nearly a decade, I’ve been drug injured for nearly as long. I know how it’s manipulated, ghosts written, hidden harms all the way back to when Prozac came out in 1987. Money talks, and big Pharma has alot of it.
