@_michellehobbs The TV series Atlanta has really stood out to me, excellent soundtrack with popular rap songs and a high production value overall. #mbtalk
It's rare that artists dabble in music supervision but Childish Gambino has done it, haven't heard anything about the film but he coordinated a majority of the it's soundtrack. #mbtalk https://t.co/8mEcHhkVSy
@josepyrex Very informative, Spotify has had ads for a long time but sponsored playlists could be an interesting concept. Plus Microsoft is easily one of the largest sponsors in the world. Probably won't hear any of these ads since I pay for Spotify. #mbtalk
@IsisCas23379965 I'd say artist info, maybe a photo of the artist, examples of social media stats, examples of press coverage, generally things that will make you look appealing and profitable. #mbtalk
Speaking of sponsors, Puma has been giving out sponsorships to some influential music artists like Rihanna and The Weeknd. Rihanna's success with her Fenty line shows that a supportive sponsor can send your career to new heights. https://t.co/fPMaCqdEaV #mbtalk
This year's Rolling Loud festival has been moved to Hard Rock Stadium, do you think that other festivals will follow suit now that they're being forced out of Bayfront Park? #mbtalk
@josepyrex Glad to hear the venue was able to stay afloat. Smaller venues like The Social are incredibly important because they give lesser known artists a space to hone their craft, everyone has to start somewhere!! #mbtalk
Our newly renovated Hard Rock Stadium is starting to host events, including this year's Jazz in the Gardens Festival. A new venue gives artists yet another opportunity for a tour location! Maybe one of your favorite artists will perform there soon. https://t.co/40WHJ7l0QA #mbtalk
@MajorDomerre No I don't and these profit cuts are something I've actually encountered doing visual art shows, I feel as though if I've paid for the space I have the right to keep all the money I made in that space. #mbtalk
Do you think artists who are known for one form of art have trouble pitching their other forms of art? Would they be taken less seriously in a field they aren't known in? #mbtalk
This article discusses black creators and their creative choices within the rules of television, Donald Glover's show Atlanta is mentioned. Made me wonder how a musical artist could develop a pitch for such an uncompromisingly real TV show. https://t.co/tiPPV6xgJi … #mbtalk
@V_Bo Very smart business move on his part, especially seeing how successful other artists have been selling exclusive sneakers. Plus it kinda makes sense he branched out to Adidas considering the founder of his label is behind their most popular shoe. #mbtalk
@Cristina_Baee People like to know what they're singing, but I think they do better because a lyric video or visualizer is cheap/low effort compared to a full video, meaning it can be put out quickly while a given song is still gaining popularity. Strike while the iron is hot. #mbtalk
@V_Bo Yes I do believe it is easier to crossover into other genres as an established artist, they have more experience in the entertainment industry as a whole as well as better access to resources. When I read this Donald Glover's crossover from acting into music came to mind. #mbtalk
