I feel like a black ops operator trying to get any information about the Slot-T that won’t cost me four months wages. And when I do you’d think the coach I’m speaking with would have a hit put out on him if you utter a word to anyone about where you got the information. Allegedly
The Slot-T is one of the most misunderstood offenses in football.
“Three yards and a cloud of dust.”
“Outdated.”
“Too simple.”
None of it holds up when you actually understand the system.

Week 1: spread
Week 2: i formation
Week 3: literal every formation
Week 4: wishbone
Week 5: flexbone
Week 6: wing T
Week 7: 0 win spread team
Week 8: double wing
Week 9: flexbone
Week 10: spread but the QB runs the ball 35 times for 280 yards and 6 TDs while going 2-10 passing but they both go 50 yards for touchdowns
“5 this, 7 that”
It’s all fun and games until 6 lines up in the wing-t and bashes your facemask in for 4 quarters of cornfed-smash-mouth-fuck-you football
People who say Wing-T guys won't be able to get recruited. This kid is the toast of the combine and has been making headlines for some time.
He went to Lena-Winslow. They run the Wing-T almost exclusively UC and throw the ball 20-30x per YEAR. The young lad turned out fine.
This is why Harding's offense is straight outta cracker jack box. You're down 3 TDs and you're just bleeding your own clock away to 0:00. It's a lose by as few as possible mindset. All fun and games until you're down multiple scores late. Fortunate they got the TO.
Let’s be honest, there’s a ton of schools (high school & college) that have no business running the “Air Raid” or “Spread.”
More offenses should look into & consider basing their identity in the option game, which can easily be used out of the gun!
Two “option” football teams (each with their own flavor) that have been doing it for a long time at an elite level playing for the National Championship- not a coincidence.
Great support, great coaches, great players, & great cultures = great results!!!
Lots of high school coaches could change their life and career if they played like Harding instead of trying to play like the Kansas City Chiefs. #RunTheRock
Every play from Harding’s (DII) 17 play, 99 yard opening TD drive against Pitt. State.
Round 2 of the DII Playoffs.
Harding W: 37 - 21
