@ZackGianino@MayorToddGloria@ToddGloria Todd Gloria is a greedy, lying, selfish incompetent and corrupt monster. We should expect more monster and not keep being surprised that a monster is acting monster-like. Four more years. Don’t know how San Diego will survive with Todd at helm.
🚀 NEW POD DROP🎙️We’re Not Solving Homelessness: Here’s the Real Truth https://t.co/K4FVT9QxjE
We’re not solving homelessness—at least not with the systems we have now. Retired businessman Michael McConnell exposes the uncomfortable truths about why our current strategies are failing and why real change feels so far away. With brutal honesty and a fresh perspective, Michael calls out the lies we tell ourselves, the systemic failures, and the “pretend solutions” keeping us stuck.
This episode challenges us to accept reality: in 40 years, we haven’t even come close to solving homelessness. It’s time to see the world as it really is, fix our broken systems, and prevent more people from dying on the streets.

San Diego spends $200 million yearly on homelessness services.
But we can't answer a basic question: what drives 750 people into eviction court each month?
A promised tracking system to gather this data remains stalled after 18 months...@inewsource investigated🧵
You've been subjected to constant trauma from the day you got here. You're treated like livestock by everyone with any form of authority. You've been intentionally beaten down in the hopes that you turn into a monster because recidivism is how they pay the bills.
I saw more people fall victim to shit than I saw people rise above it. You're living in an entirely parallel world with its own politics, economy and traps.
Reviewing a San Diego NOFA and the amount of hoops the local government wants you to jump through to help homeless people is staggering.
Housing people in need should be met with urgency and efficiency at all levels.
It's honestly disheartening.
I’ve been meaning to report this for some time — new law requiring reviews of jails deaths does not include deaths *outside* of jails. Why’s this significant? Many people die on the way to the ER or shortly after being admitted to the hospital. https://t.co/K3KlfiN5cu
What we are talking about here is probably the biggest and most deadly drug crime spree in modern history, and U.S. officials, prosecutors, and police have chosen to immunize almost every wealthy/powerful person involved from criminal liability.
Cops call out "sick" and then go work as private security for more pay, then another cop gets paid overtime to cover the first cop's shift.
$108 million was spent last year on this racket!
Hey #SanFrancisco moderates; Why so silent about the big report documenting widespread waste and abuse in SFPD? Thought you said you were all about efficiency and accountability??
@rickval92102 Haha. I think they offered to buy the building for 10 million dollars. Would’ve been a giveaway. We paid 87 million to buy a building appraised at 67 million; with financing we’re paying 233 million over 20 years.
Today, I shared that @CityofSanDiego faces a $258M structural deficit. While tough choices are ahead, my focus remains on public safety, housing, homelessness, and road repairs. Together, we’ll work toward a balanced, responsible budget.
