Thank you, Prairie Village! Last night's election results give us a clear path to continue the work of making our community a place that everyone can be proud to call home. Let's go!
Before the final city council meeting of 2021, I’d like to thank former Ward One rep Jori Nelson for her service to our city. She is a dedicated public servant who put untold time & effort towards her role on council, and Prairie Village is a better place for it. Thank you, Jori!
We’re getting dispatched on numerous calls for smoke odors. FYI- local meteorologists are reporting that smoke is blowing in with the storm from fires in western Kansas.
Prairie Village has a long tradition of service. Our city is special thanks to folks who commit their time & talent. This past weekend, we celebrated those residents and their contributions to our community with a fun event at Meadowbrook. Thanks to all of our awesome volunteers!
Almost official! I will be sworn in as a member of the Prairie Village City Council at the top of tomorrow night’s regular meeting. You’ve heard me say it before: as a third-generation PV resident, I am honored to be a part of the future that residents have chosen for our city.
Forgot to post here about the gorgeous Mayor’s Tree! Such a great night in Corinth Square on Tuesday celebrating the holidays with our friends and neighbors - and some special guests too! 🎅
I spent the day in orientation meetings with our fantastic @PrairieVillage staff and fellow incoming council members to deep dive into the details of our city. I’m excited to jump in and get to work with such great folks!
It was great to celebrate our local businesses last night at the @nejcchamber Annual Gala, with friends from Prairie Village and across the community. Special congratulations to PV Councilwoman Courtney McFadden who will serve as Chamber President this coming year!
Did you notice Prairie Village lit up last night? The 6th grade Luminary Committee at Prairie joined with other SME feeders to sell, distribute, & set up luminaries throughout the community with proceeds donated to organizations that support our veterans.

Got to spend time with residents at the Countryside East annual meeting last night. Prairie Village is a great place because our residents are engaged and active in their community. I appreciate the opportunity to chat with these folks and look forward to working together.
When we needed help catering our Election Night Watch-turned-Victory Party, @CaffetteriaCafe came through! In addition to their great restaurant, keep this Ward One gem in mind for all of your catering needs!
5/5 stars - would recommend! ⭐️
I'm so encouraged at the engagement we saw in this election. Out of 2,891 registered voters in Ward One, 1,166 cast a ballot - 40.3%! Looking at it in context, voter turnout in #JoCo as a whole was 24.88%. Democracy only works when people participate. Well done, Ward One!
We have always voted together as a family, but it meant a little more this morning when my own name was on the ballot. Please take a few minutes to cast your #vote today before 7pm. It was quick and easy, even with four kids in tow!
