Thanks, Tim. I have dedicated nearly my entire professional career to fighting for justice—justice for victims, justice for our City, and the justice that holds us all accountable no matter where we live, the job we have, or who we voted for. Together, we will keep Richmond safe.
I started my career as an assistant prosecutor in the Richmond Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office 30 years ago. I have spent those years being the voice for victims of crime and defending the rule of law. My focus as a prosecutor is to ensure public safety for our city, second chances for those who are willing to accept them, and accountability for everyone.
Last night, Richmond considered my record and all the work we have accomplished together over the last 5 years—including creating a criminal justice reform unit, implementing restorative justice, advancing our therapeutic dockets that reduce recidivism, and investing this office in community-centered public safety. Last night, the citizens of Richmond spoke resoundingly in support of this work and in support of experienced leadership.
Richmond is safer today than it was 5 years ago, and with your trust and support, I will work every day to continue that progress.
Friends, we are just one day from Richmond’s Democratic Primary tomorrow, Tuesday, June 17th, 2025, from 6am - 7pm at your local polling place. Voting is how we make our voices heard, and I encourage you to vote and to tell your friends and family to vote because it matters.
Always such an honor and privilege to join @fbctoday—especially on Father’s Day—to hear the Word. Thank you, Rev. Jones, and happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there!
With today’s GOTV Canvass nearly finished, we have knocked 5,000 doors over the last 6 weeks. Every day of this campaign, we have spoken with our neighbors and friends about the hard work—the good work—that we have accomplished over the last 5 years in keeping Richmond safe and protecting the rule of law. Remember, if you haven’t already, VOTE on June 17th!
Simply put: Richmond can’t be safe if our streets are Mr. Barbour’s training ground. Richmond deserves an experienced Commonwealth’s Attorney who actually knows how to do the job, who has the relationships to target the root causes of crime, and who has the character to stand up for our most vulnerable.
Nothing better than good weather! I was so excited to be a part of this community pop up and social hosted by @richmondpolice in the East End last evening. Safe neighborhoods and ice cream is what it is all about! 🏡🍦
I’m proud of all the support and endorsements from my friends and neighbors. They know what we know: that our City is safer today than it was 5 years ago. But we cannot let off the gas, there is more work to be done. That’s why should I be reelected, Richmond will have its first Family Justice Center. Together, Richmond will Rise!
It was a privilege to join Deacon Juan Braxton and @trinitybaptistrva this afternoon for their monthly ‘Crucial Conversation,’ discussing how we as a community—particularly our men—can help lead against gun violence in our city. I am proud to participate in these conversations and plans to target the root causes of crime so to prevent crime before it happens. One part of my job as Commonwealth’s Attorney is to proactively engage with our neighbors and leaders in keeping our city safe—a job I have been committed to for the last 30 years.
Every day, we are knocking on doors, making calls, and speaking with our neighbors about keeping our city safe and making justice a reality. Join us! https://t.co/7LFOzYskef
I’m deeply saddened to hear of the passing of my friend, @GerryConnolly. Gerry was as true a public servant as they come; his leadership will be missed, but his work will continue on. My deepest sympathies to Cathy and their family.
