New Chapter. Same Mission.
When I made the decision to transfer to Palm Beach Lakes, I knew exactly what I was walking into. A 2–8 program. Not much exposure. Not many eyes. But I didn’t go there for comfort, I went there with a purpose. I wanted to be part of building something.
Being an underdog athlete, this past season, I turned that 2–8 program into a 6–4 program. The first 6-win season since 2019. A district win for the first time in over 5 years. And more importantly, a brotherhood that believed in each other. I brought attention back to Lakes, media days, news coverage, and college coaches on campus. But what I’m most proud of isn’t stats or headlines… it’s the opportunities that came to my teammates. Watching my brothers go from overlooked, having no offers, to earning and receiving real college offers, and that means everything to me.
On the field, I gave everything I had. 1,699 yards in my first year as a starter behind a developing O-line, and moments I’ll never forget, like converting a 4th & 27 and turning that drive into back-to-back touchdowns with under 3 mins left of the game, when it mattered most. Off the field, I built something bigger. Team dinners. Cookouts. Beach days. Brotherhood. We created a culture that will last longer than any single season.
With that being said, this next chapter is about growth and alignment. Sometimes leadership also means knowing when your part of the mission is complete. I didn’t walk away from competition, I handed it over, I passed the torch. I already restored Lakes. My mission there is complete. I’m grateful for every teammate, and every moment at Lakes. To my brothers, keep going. Keep building. I’ll always be rooting for you. To the quarterbacks stepping in, lead well and take it even further.
As for me… Home is where the heart is and I’m just getting started.
