@farmingandJesus I wouldn’t know as I haven’t gotten there yet—my family usually don’t go through perimenopause until after their 50’s—so many had kids at 43-45(including my younger sister) & I still suffer terribly with periods...😖

I am on my annual retreat, delayed due to duty.
I was thinking of how much this year I have missed my deceased parents, and God brought to mind how I deep down have always, truth be told, entertained the bitter thought He took them from me, in close proximity in their 50's.
What God made me realize today was that He takes nothing away from me but my sins.
He is the God of the living, and they are present to me in Him, in some mysterious union we have in the Mystical Body of Christ. It does not deny missing them, but it is without bitterness or blame.
God takes nothing from us, nothing but our sins.
How good God is.
