@ATRightMovies So with fully composed music in mind I go with Vertigo (Bernard Hermann), The Good, The Bad and The Ugly (Ennio Morricone) and Forbidden Planet (Bebe and Louis Barron) 2/2
@ATRightMovies I'm ruling out movies using popular songs and instrumentals available from other formats so that leaves soundtracks composed for the film. Believe me it gets tricky because there are great soundtrack recordings including all these things such as Chinatown and The Ice Storm. 1/2
@Noirchick1 Some of the best war related films were done in the post-war period.
All Quiet On The Western Front (1930)
The Best Years Of Our Lives (1946)
The Cruel Sea (1953)
The Hill (1965)
@CraigBaird I remember that day. I was on a CBC course for journalism students when Peter Mansbridge came in the room and told us there was a hostage taking in the Quebec's National Assembly. At first I thought it was some kind of exercise to test our reactions, but that didn't last long.
@CraigBaird Stompin' fudged the facts of the Baron's death in his song praising Wop May....as well as a few other details of May's career. https://t.co/sOb3gnz2mW
