@lenazun I had to get the poem through inter library loan in college because neither English translation is in print and copies were hard to find. Looks like the earlier translation is maybe public domain and more available now though? I recommend it if you're into that sort of thing!
@Nifflas Ong-Bak and The Protector are incoherent from a story perspective but have some gloriously long takes of Tony Jaa fighting way too many people at once. Highly recommend.
@sloanesloane I lived in Philly before Portland and it is a great city that's more affordable and has a way better weird arts scene. Highly recommend. The two downsides are humid summers (but more places with AC) and less immediate access to nature.
@chrislpenner Not sure how it works in other languages but you can use blocks in Typescript to give each case its own scope. I just wish they could be used as expressions. One day the pattern matching proposal will make it into the language and there will be much rejoicing.
@horrorvisuals Favorite is The Thing. One I loved recently that was new to me is Ravenous, from 1999 (tagline: you are who you eat), which was a whole lot of fun and really feels like it should be more well-known
