@TheCentreLefty Good for you Mark. I was a Labour activist at your age, and the responsibility and comradeship helped me considerably. Keep working for a Labour victory, but please remind your boss that it will only happen when he outlines a position vision for this country. Sorely lacking.
@AngelaRayner Angela, there are times that some of your colleagues drive me to distraction, copying self defeating, snide Tory attack adds comes to mind. However, you are a beacon of authentic decency, and I salute you. Thanks, and well done.
@TheSpursWatch@AyoCaesar Sincere good luck from a proud Gooner. It does none of us any good to see Spurs so low. We only want you just the one step behind us.
@Alexverycalm Sorry John. Although I have sympathy for your point, Jeremy is a good man. An idealist, but a weak fool who too closely associated himself with no good types. Alex is right to support Starmer and the overwhelming need to distance Labour from any stench of racism.
Every now and then a celebrity who dies reminds us, not only of talent, but of a goodness, a values set and aligned behaviours that defines the very best of humanity. Paul O'Grady was such a man. I just wish he was still here so I could tell him. ๐ข
@mhdksafa So effing outrageous. The US has gone mad on gun laws. However the real issue goes much deeper and much, much darker. The disrespect for life, the willingness to cause such harm, the state of mental health. Huge, huge issues which go untouched.
@Lucy_cat_lady Woke is abuse thrown at progressives you don't like to make yourself feel superior. When I was young they used the word 'Commies'! The lovely Paul, bless him, was proudly socially radical and kind and popular, so the reaction of DM readers is allow him to be the exception. Sigh
@KathViner Well done for facing up to a terrible past. For your honesty, your guilt and your determination to make whatever reparations that are possible. That's good leadership. Your quote from James Baldwin is totally apposite.
