@BillyBremnerFan Bobby Collins- Don’s right hand man on the field in those early years. Woe betide anyone who got on the wrong side of him. Never forgotten RIP. Thanks for everything.
@RobMitch92 Yes Rob, I enjoyed it immensely. It was an absolute joy for me to be surrounded by my wonderful family. Thank you so much. I feel truly blessed xx
@LPP2014 Both my parents worked at A V Roe at Yeadon in the war years. They remember all lining up when the first Lancaster Bomber made there was brought out for inspection. Proud to remember them all.
@ChicagoWhite @Mk2Schama Another one of the old stalwarts passes on RIP Willie Bell aged 85. Willie was a fixture at left back during those brilliant years in the sixties. He eventually left us for Birmingham City and, after hanging up his boots, spent many years doing missionary work.
@BillyBremnerFan The one and only Albert Johanneson, footballing pioneer! Conquered his nerves and shyness to cross continents and forged a career for many others to follow. RIP Albert and thank you.
@nutmik0 @BillyBremnerFan Yes, Don Weston was a particular favourite of mine. Speedy was his middle name. I met him once and mentioned his pace. “My father was a rabbit “ he replied. As you say Happy Days.
