@ElvisCostello@AmerSongwriter No disagreement with any of these great performances (particularly pleased to see the less well known Roger McGuinn track) but a more adventurous selection might have included something from My Darling Clementine’s album with Steve Naive.
Normally I don’t approach Picturehouse head-on so seeing it like this the other night was stunning. Aren’t we lucky to have such a magnificent new cinema in the heart of @ShitChester?
The explosive and perfectly fabulous Courettes at St. Mary’s last night, after Teenage Fanclub at the Live Rooms on Sunday. Chester’s live music scene is superb.
@ShitChester Agree with many of Adam’s thoughts but the retrospective love for “free after three” wasn’t as evident at the time when traders complained that customers were discouraged from coming in to town before three! I favour a car park discount for residents at all times.
Reflections on personal development, the meaning of home and growing up in Chorley from University of Chester Business School’s Summer Ainscough as part of the city’s Festival of Ideas in Chester Town Hall today.
@SamanthaDixonMP@ShitChester A great piece. I was thinking earlier this evening about a city promotion based on Chester characters - Billy would certainly be one of them! I remember Claire Gobin too; we have had (and have) a few memorable violinist buskers.
