There are so many strong women who have shaped my life, but the biggest shoutout of all today goes to my number one: Jenna B, the love of my life, my canny business partner, my best friend. I cannot wait to watch you climb to the top of the world this spring on Everest.
Books spotted on my commute:
*THE HANDMAID'S TALE by @MargaretAtwood
*WITHOUT REMORSE by Tom Clancy
*THE IMPOSSIBLE FIRST by @colinobrady
*KITCHEN CONFIDENTIAL by Anthony Bourdain
*THE SERMON ON THE MOUNT by Emmet Fox

I can still feel the water splashing on my face and taste the saltiness of the ocean. Watching this video now, I want to tell the Colin in it that heโs going to make it, that itโll be okay...but we live life by going through it, not around it.
Itโs crazy to think that this was where I was just a little over two months ago - getting absolutely hammered by a storm out in the middle of Drake Passage, trapped inside a rowboat waiting for the winds and waves to die down, no idea when it would end.
My book isn't just my story, it's the story of all of the people who have supported my dreams, especially the amazing women in my life, my mom, Jenna, my first grade teacher Ms. Pannel. Family and relationships mean everything to me, and I'm grateful for my support system.
If you've read my book, you know how important my mom is to me. She was one of the first people to introduce me to the world of nature, taking me on hikes all around the Pacific Northwest when I was young and then encouraging me to pursue my dreams all throughout my life.

I just announced the next four stops on my book tour! Is your city on the list? Check it out below and let me know where I should go next! Many more cities to come.
Itโs moments like these that I am reminded why I do this, why I put myself in the middle of some of natureโs most isolated and dangerous places. The feeling of total beauty and bliss. Nature is beautiful and when I am connected to the outdoors, I am my best self.
Thanks for another great conversation @joerogan! We talked about my book, Nat Geo, the importance of doing hard things in life, and so much more!

Hard to beat a bluebird day in the mountains romping around with my guy Jack . When life starts to feel a bit too hectic itโs a good reminder that happiness for me is often found in the simplest moments. Sunshine, the mountains, my dog, fresh air...fully content!
โWe can't be afraid of change. You may feel very secure in the pond that you are in, but if you never venture out of it, you will never know that there is such a thing as an ocean, a sea.โ - C. JoyBell C. #BePossible
The dedication in my book says it best: โFor Jenna B, the love of my life, the keeper of my memories.โ @jennabesaw Iโm so grateful to be on this adventure of life together. I love this picture as itโs a perfect visual representation of our love; two parts of the same whole.
During The Impossible Row we had over 600,000 students enrolled in the program. Students learned about the science of the oceans, the engineering that goes into building a boat, weather in extreme environments, and of course the fauna of Antarctica ( penguins ๐ง and whales ๐)!
My biggest motivator is to be able to pass on the learnings to the next generation through our nonprofit Beyond 7/2. @jennabesaw and I founded the organization with the goal of inspiring young people to set goals, to dream big and to live active and healthy lives.
Through live storytelling during my expeditions weโve developed STEM curriculum and programming in partnership with the amazing @dacia92. This gives students a immersive learning experience to solidify their understanding and curiosity about the outside world.
