Police officers take positions ahead of the Queen Elizabeth II funeral in central London.
This was the scene on The Mall this morning:

Hey, @Keir_Starmer@UKLabour
When you pass the measure to keep the pubs open for the football, how about adding these few lines:
'Notwithstanding any enactment, regulation or order, nor any international treaty or agreement, the Secretary of State is authorised to order the deportation of Shamir Ahmed to Pakistan or any other third nation'.
Not hard is it?
So it seems Parliament was quite happy to to pass a five line Bill to protect Keir Starmer‘s pension - but not so willing to do the same to deport a notorious child rapist to protect our women and girls.
What a fantastic evening at our members event with Nigel Farage and our Police and Crime Commissioner candidate Colin Sutton.
We had a packed house, a brilliant atmosphere, and it was great to see so many members and supporters together.
Hearing Colin speak about his plans for Norfolk once he’s elected as Police and Crime Commissioner was genuinely inspiring. With over 30 years of policing experience, he’s exactly the kind of person we need to restore confidence in our police force and put victims and communities first.
And Nigel… well, if you’ve ever heard him speak, you’ll know no two speeches are ever quite the same! He always has something new to say, delivered with his usual passion, honesty and humour. He certainly didn’t disappoint.
Now it’s over to the voters.
🗳️ On 16th July, please get out and vote for @colinsutton
Together we can bring real change to Norfolk.

@kathrynhall_ There was a colleague, years ago who did this all the time. He unfortunately developed a large benign cyst on his forehead and so was thereafter known as 'The bump that goes thing in the night.'
Thank you. I am already hearing that the CoP and Home Office are freezing out PCCs since their imminent demise was announced. But ultimately, irrespective of what the CoP says, I believe my first duty would be to the people of Norfolk and I would hope and expect the constabulary leadership would take a similar view.
There are lots of reasons to want us to control Westminster - but this is one of them. Too much power has been ceded by elected representatives to appointed quangos. The CoP is but one of them, across the whole range of public services. I doubt it - or indeed many of them - will survive long under a Reform government.
@Raptus_HW@TimeForReform29@RupertLowe10 I am very happy that throughout my life I have never embraced anything like that level of defeatism. Sometimes it is amazing what you can achieve despite others saying it is hopeless.
Everyone, meet Labour's mayoral candidate Bev Craig.
If you not already were, under the leadership of Greater Manchester, she has faced huge criticism of a heavily redacted material provided during the statutory grooming gang inquiry process.
Yes, that's right, victims and campaigners have questioned what was withheld and why?
Another Labour candidate heavily involved in the mass cover-up of the rapes and abuse of our children.
Labour the gift that keeps on giving.
In May last year, Reform UK became the largest party on Leicestershire County Council.
A year & a bit later we’ve just paid off £26.9m of Tory debt, taking the Council’s debt to the LOWEST LEVEL in recorded HISTORY! 📜
Real delivery. Reform is sorting the mess the others left behind. 🇬🇧
Is it time to legislate; if a change of leader is forced by its own Party then a General Election must be called.
That would stop the constant churn and focus all politicians on delivery, instead of work place politics. These endless ‘house of cards’ games would end and the country would benefit.
Let’s legislate to focus minds.
There was a glitch which is now fixed and my PCC election Facebook page is back up and running. Please share everywhere you can. Thanks!
