Is there a lesson here?
Added 4 more shares of $SCHD accidentally. Meant to buy $SGOV but fat thumbed it. Maybe itโs a sign?? 5004 doesnโt sound as nice as 5000. Or 6000โฆ..
@DividendGrowth@RampCapitalLLC Please donโt say that! Retiring in 5.5 years Iโm hoping we have a bear market in that time frame while Iโm still adding. A lost decade would not be a fun beginning of the โnext chapterโ . Dividends and 2-3 years living expense will be my defense once the Curtin comes down.
@SCHDaccumulator Both. Though some stocks I bought years ago for the dividend turned out to be my best growth stocks as well. Plus many have grown their dividend over the years as well. Lately shifted a touch more to growth to balance things out a little more.
@DividendGrowth@GrayConnolly Agreed. This constant baby boomer bashing and complaining is beta mentality 101. Kind of validates a lot of the negative stereotypes tossed around about the newer generations.
@OptimizedPort@SCHDaccumulator It would appear that your brand is anti $SCHD https://t.co/6khPt8kc6z seems yourefor total return.Ican agree with that but some people may want to use a hybrid approach to investing.Maybe holding $SCHD is good for some who canโt handle volatility. Its personal finance for a reason
@jrouldz Ballz but itโs working! If you can handle the swings itโs obviously worked out fantastically! When did you start buying $AMZN ? I just opened a position a few weeks ago.
